A several meter long pipe transported by a truck slipped off and entered the back door of a trolleybus running on route No. 29 in Chisinau. It happened on Mihai Viteazul St in the afternoon of January 3.
Contacted by IPN, Gheorghe Morgoci, director of the Chisinau Electric Transport Company, said that no one was hurt. The driver who transported the pipe pledged to cover the costs associated with the repair of the damaged door of the trolleybus.
Natalia Stati, press officer of the Chisinau Police Division, stated the police haven’t been informed about this incident. After images of the incident were placed on social networking sites, a police team traveled to the scene to examine the situation, but there was no one there already.
Traffic moved with difficulty in the area for half an hour.
