A pig farm in Briceni district was engulfed by waters. The 50 animals could not be saved. Their bodies are still in the water, Info-Prim Neo reports.
Vsevolod Stamati, the head of the Veterinary Medicine Division of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry, said that the bodies of the animals will be taken out and buried only after the water withdraws.
As many as 1,500 domestic birds, 250 cows, 130 horses and 84 pigs have been evacuated from 14 flooded districts so far.
