Pictures of old Chisinau to be exhibited at Chisinau City Hall

The persons who have old pictures of Chisinau are asked to make copies and bring them to the Chisinau City Hall for being displayed. The municipality aims to gather a collection of books about Chisinau and pictures of the old city, Info-Prim Neo reports. Mayor of Chisinau Dorin Chirtoaca asked that the works should be exhibited in the protocol room of the City Hall. “We should develop the idea concerning the golden phonoteque, which includes the best songs. We should do the same with books about Chisinau. Collect all the materials and books published over years and inform the people who have old pictures of the city so that they send us copies,” instructed the mayor. In this connection, the head of the mayor general’s staff Lilian Carp mentioned Iurie Colesnic’s book “Chisinau and its residents” that is about personalities and ordinary people who contributed to developing the city’s culture.
