A number of photos by the young artist Vlaicu Bunduchi, which were exhibited at the Meru Gallery in Iasi last winter, were published by the Chinese portal The Paper. The collection “Fin 14” includes 14 pictures of young people from Finland that were taken in their private areas, IPN reports.
The editor of The Paper wrote to Vlaicu Bunduchi after seeing one of the photos, entitled “Two cats”, submitted for a contest and published on www.smithsonian.com. He asked the artist to send him more photos accompanied by descriptions.
On April 20, one day before Vlaicu Bunduchi’s 21th birthday, his pictures appeared on the Chinese website thepaper.cn, which has about 10 million subscribers.
Vlaicu Bunduchi studies in Iasi. Since last autumn, he has studied at the Media Culture Faculty, the Photography specialty, in Finland on an Erasmus scholarship. At the beginning of this week, the young man goes to Sweden’s Stockholm on a nine-day trip for a new photographic project.
