Photo contest “Common borders. Common solutions” opened

Those interested are invited to apply to a photo contest entitled “Common borders. Common solutions” that is held on the occasion of the 2023 Interreg Cooperation Day in the Republic of Moldova. The contest is intended for citizens of the Republic of Moldova and Romania older than 18 who want to creatively illustrate the benefits of crossborder programs, IPN reports.

The photos must emphasize the results of the projects implemented within the Joint Operational Program Romania – Republic of Moldova 2014-2020 and aim to promote joint solutions to common problems from both sides of the borders (Iasi, Botosani, Vaslui, Galati counties and the whole territory of the Republic of Moldova) for a prosperous and neighborly region built through crossborder cooperation actions.

The photos must be in .JPG, .JPEG, fie .PNG format, of high resolution (300 DPI – standard for high resolution printing, at least 1920 x 1080 p) and refer to the support for education, research, technological development and innovation, promotion of local culture and conservation of historic heritage, to common challenges in security and safety.

All the projects of the Joint Operational Program Romania – Republic of Moldova 2014-2020, which can be photographed, are posted online. More details about the projects can be found out on www.ro-md.net.

To register for the contest, the participants by August 27, 2023 will fill out the registration form and will transmit at most three photos in digital format through romd.helpdesk@ogpae.gov.md. Later, the photos will be assessed by a jury and will be put to the vote on Facebook ENI CBC Romania-Republic of Moldova 2014-2020, taking into account such criteria as originality, quality of photos, creativity and clarity of the conveyed message.

The winners will be announced and awarded on September 22, 2023 at an Award Gala that will be held on the occasion of the Interreg Cooperation Day. The best works will be awarded modern gadgets: smart watch, headphones, an electric scooter and other things. The winning works will be exhibited within the Interreg Cooperation Day and the Final Conference of the Joint Operational Program Romania – Republic of Moldova set for the start of 2024. They will also be promoted through www.ro-md.net, social media, the media and publications.
