The Ministry of Justice's inquiry committee found no contractual breaches of the Chisinau Airport lease agreement or any violations of deadlines, stated Petru Jardan, the Airport's director, at a news conference today taking stock of the company's activity.
Petru Jardan said the inspections, carried out over the last few months, found that the Airport was developing according to plan and the management of the administrating company Avia Invest was meeting its contractual promises to extend services and modernize the Airport.
“We cooperated sincerely with the inspectors, even if was time- and effort-consuming. According to the resulting reports, the members of the committee, headed by former Justice Minister Vladimir Grosu, found no violation”, stated Petru Jardan.
He added that Avia Invest used both investors' money and the Airport's returns to modernize the Airport, which is in line with the lease agreement.
