The Moldovan Football Federation (FMF) penalized Petrocub-Hincesti with 50,000 lei fine and a 3-0 technical defeat in the game against Dacia Chisinau in Divizia Nationala's 21st round, IPN reports.
The punishment comes after manager Mihai Usatii took his side off the pitch in protest at the refereeing.
“This is a decision according to the rules. After the game stopped, the referees waited for 3 mandatory minutes before whistling the end of the match”, explained Ghedanie Lisii the chair of the FMF Competition Committee.
Petrocub-Hincesti, now occupying the second-last spot in the tournament, will host Dinamo-Auto on Saturday.
