Petrocub defeated Sheriff 2-1 and took a serious step towards becoming Moldova’s football champion for the first time. The goals were scored by Mihai Platica (4th minute), David Abagna (61st) and Rasheed Akanbi (89th), IPN reports.
The other two games of the 7th stage ended as follows: Milsami - FC Balti 3-0, and Zimbru - Dacia Buiucani 2-0. The rankings are topped by Petrocub with 17 points and is followed by Zimbru (14) and Sheriff (12).
In the next stage, on May 4, Petrocub will meet Dacia Buiucani, Sheriff – Milsami, while FC Balti - Zimbru.
