Petrocub Hâncești edged out a narrow 1-0 win over the newcomers Codru Lozova in round 12 of the National Division.
The game’s only goal was scored by striker Vadim Gulceac from a penalty kick on the 50th minute. “Unfortunately we continue to struggle with numerous injuries. I hope to see our players back on the pitch as soon as possible so that we can start preparing seriously for Europa League, which kicks off in July”, Petrocub assistant coach Marcel Reșitca told a press conference.
The win puts Petrocub equal on points with Speranța, who suffered a 0-1 home defeat to Dinamo-Auto. The winning goal was scored by Maxim Mihaliov in injury time.
Today Zimbru are slated to meet Milsami and Sheriff will take on Sfîntul Gheorghe.
