Two of the three Moldovan teams competing in the UEFA Europa Conference League reached the second qualifying round of the competition. Both Petrocub and Milsami qualified owing to the 1-0 victories they scored in the return match, IPN reports.
Petrocub beat the current holder of the Cup of North Macedonia, FK Sileks, owing to the goal scored by Mihai Platica in the overtime. For its part, Milsami eliminated FK Sarajevo of Bosnia and Herzegovina owing to the goal scored by Radu Gînsari in the 19th minute.
In the next round, Petrocub plays against the Turkish team Sivesspor, while Milsami meets the Swedish team Elfsborg.
Another Moldovan team, Sfîntul Gheorghe, was eliminated by the Albanian club Partizani after the general score of 4-8. In Orhei, Sfîntul Gheorghe lost by 2-3, the goals for the host being scored by Volkov and Solodovnicov.
