Political analyst Viorel Cibotaru considers the insults aimed by the Communist lawmaker Alexandru Petcov at the employees of the Ministry of Education on April 7 form part of the tactics of the Communist parliamentary group. The expert has told Info-Prim Neo that the MP knew what he does when he named the Ministry’s employees ‘idiots’ and intentionally tried to stir things up among the parliamentary majority. The fact that the alliance decided to send him out agitated the opposition, but this also may be a hidden tactic of the PCRM, which is aimed at blocking the Parliament’s work, especially on such days as April 7. The leaving of the assembly hall by the Communist MPs is also a well thought out tactic. The Communists were ready to impede the sitting anytime, while Petcov’s deed only escalated the tension in the parliamentary group, said Viorel Cibotaru. The expert does not rule out the possibility that the Communist lawmakers’ gesture is part of the unofficial electoral campaign started by the PCRM, whereby the party wants to make itself visible. According to him, more similar incidents will happen as such behavior is typical of the PCRM.
