Persons with vision disorders and pensioners in Chisinau to be provided with pro bono glasses

Persons with vision disorders and pensioners in Chisinau municipality will be ensured with pro bono glasses. This action will take place until April, within the Action Plan for 2006-2007, regarding the pro bono provision with glasses of pensioners and persons with vision deficiencies, approved by a Government Decision, transmits Info-Prim Neo. As stated by the Ministry of Health, glasses are manufactured individually, according to the eye doctor’s recipe, and given for free to pensioners and persons with vision deficiencies. For this purpose were formed expert teams that work throughout the territories of Moldova. Until this moment, around 83 thousand persons from different raions of Moldova benefited from free glasses, and continue to do so. Recently, distribution of glasses began and in Chisinau. On the whole, there were signed contracts for the acquisition of 400 thousand glasses, worth MDL 20 million, which were allocated from the state budget.
