“The automated information system “COVID-19 Vaccination Register” enables to introduce data about immunized persons who do not have a personal identification number (IDNP). This way, all the vaccinated citizens of the Republic of Moldova will be registered,” said Elena Mudryi, head of the Information and Media Relations Service of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Moldova. IPN asked the Ministry of Health for information about the instruments for certifying the vaccination of persons who do not have an identity card with a personal code and, respectively, do not accept a QR code?”.
“On request, the persons can obtain a document without a QR code confirming that they had been immunized from the medical institution where they got vaccinated,” stated Elena Mudryi.
Currently, there are 3,083 persons in Moldova who refused an IDNP and automated registration in the State Population Register, Olesea Pasicovschi, head of the Public Services Agency’s Media Relations Section, has told IPN. They are issued with a temporary identity card without IDNP for being used on the country’s territory. This is valid for ten years. Most of the persons of this category refused an IDNP for religious reasons. The QR code is also refused now for religious reasons.
“The citizens of the Republic of Moldova who renounce the personal identification number and automated registration in the State Population Register are put on a manual file of records when they announce the renouncement decision,” stated Olesea Pasicovschi.
