The persons whose job is to control the branch meters cause damage to the hydraulic system when intervening in the heating process, deputy mayor of Chisinau Vladimir Cotet said at Monday’s meeting of the City Hall, Info-Prim Neo reports. According to Cotet, all the apartment buildings and institutions in Chisinau have been connected to the heating system. The system works normally. The exit temperature is 64-65 degrees Celsius, while the entry temperature – 47 degrees Celsius. The Housing Division’ head Mihai Godea said that the persons responsible for the meters intervene in the heating process and could cause serious damage to the heating system. When the meter is half-closed, the system does not function normally. At the same time, this does not help save heat as the entire building must be disconnected from the source for this to happen, Godea said. In this connection, the commercial director of SA Termocom Mihai Arusoi said that the persons in charge of the meters are partially exempted from paying for heat and the money is collected from the dwellers of the block. According to Arusoi, it is not right that these persons punish the dwellers so that they pay for the heat instead of them. Mayor of Chisinau Dorin Chirtoaca demanded that the officials in charge check the temperature of heat in apartment buildings, remaining that the heat generation capacity in Chisinau is higher than the absorption capacity. He said that though there is a surplus of heat, it should be saved, but not to the people’s detriment. Next week, SA Termocom will train the persons who are responsible for branch meters.
