The Prosecutor’s Office of Soroca district opened a legal case against an inspector of the district Police Commissariat. He is suspected of falsifying public documents and of misconduct in office as a result of which six residents of Soroca district were questioned without knowing, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting the Prosecutor General’s Office. During investigations, the Soroca Prosecutor’s Office established that under the orders of an inspector of the Soroca Police Commissariat, six men were included in the documents as witnesses to a number of thefts, as if they had been questioned by the police. It was determined that the identification data indicated by the inspector in the questioning reports were false. The statements of the inexistent witnesses could not confirm the commission of offenses and thus the inspector argued that the crimes could not be discovered. The prosecutors cited the six ‘witnesses’ for questioning in the case opened against the police officer.
