Within the second vaccination stage covering the persons older than 60 and those with comorbidies older than 18, those who are entitled to get vaccinated should go to the family doctor and make an appointment for immunization. A number of 622 teachers have been immunized at the Vaccination Center that was opened in Chisinau three days ago. The center can vaccinate up to 1,200 persons a day, Mayor of Chisinau Ion Ceban stated in the ordinary meeting of officials of municipal services, IPN reports.
Tatiana Bucharski, head of the General Social Assistance and Health Division, said that 75.8% of the employees of municipal hospitals have been vaccinated and all the doses intended for hospital employees were used. Also, 82% of the staff of primary and private medical institutions were immunized against COVID-19.
Of the 1,665 beds at the hospitals and 200 beds at the MoldExpo Center, 1,263 were occupied on April 4. Fifty-nine patients are in a very serious state, while 558 are in a serious state. Over 70,000 persons infected with the novel coronavirus are receiving treatment at home.
