Persons of culture receive state awards

Moldova's Acting President Mihai Ghimpu issued a decree to confer state awards on people of culture for special merits in developing the theatrical art, substantial contribution towards promoting the national authentic values and for high creative skillfulness, Info-Prim Neo reports. Eugenia Todorashko, actress of the State Russian Dramatic Theater “S Ulitsy Roz”, and film director Ion Ungureanu were awarded the Order of the Republic. Mihail Curagau, actor of the Municipal Theater “Satiricus Ion Luca Caragiale”, and Tudor Tarna, director general of the Center of Culture and Arts “Ginta Latina”, received by an Order of Honor. The honorific title “People's Artist” was conferred on Nicolae Busuioc, opera soloist of the National Opera House, Alexandrina-Didina Cocea, actress of the National Theater ”Mihai Eminescu”, Elena Gherman, opera soloist of the National Opera House, Melania Lupan, actress of the Balti-based National Theater “Vasile Alecsandri”, and composer Liviu Stirbu. The honorific title “Master of Arts” was given to Victoria Bucun, master-choreographer of the Center of Culture and Arts “Ginta Latina”, Dorel Burlacu, composer, Vitalii Drucec, actor of the Theater “Eugene Ionesco”, Stela Focsa, actress of the National Theater “Luceafarul”, Valentina German-Tazlauanu, theater critic, Victor Palii, painter-scenographer at the National Theater “Vasile Alecsandri”, Iosif Shats, director at the State Russian Dramatic Theater “A.P.Cehov”, Larisa Ungureanu, theater and film critic, and Ala Vutcarau (Menshikov), actress at the Theater “Eugene Ionesco”. Svetlana Belorybkina, scene painter at the State Russian Dramatic Theater “A.P.Cehov”, was awarded the honorific title “Emeritus Person”. The honorific title “Emeritus Artist” was conferred on Angelica Klimenko, actress of the Tiraspol-based Theater of Drama and Comedy “N.S.Aronetskaia”, Viorel Cornescu, actor of the Municipal Theater “Satiricus - Ion Luca Caragiale”, Andrei Madan, actor of the National Puppet Theater “Licurici”, Inga Marcu-Rementov, actress of the Municipal Puppet Theater “Guguta”, Oleg Mereoara, actor of the Cahul-based National Musical Dramatic Theater “B.P.Hasdeu”, Diana Nimijan, actress of the National Puppet Theater “Licurici”, Petru Oistric, actor of the National Theater “Mihai Eminescu”, Irina Rusu, actress of the Municipal Theater “Satiricus - Ion Luca Caragiale”, Irina Sericova, actress of the Theater of Drama and Comedy “N.S.Aronetskaia”, Andrei Sochirca, actor of the National Theater “Mihai Eminescu”, and Viorica Vicol, actress of the Municipal Puppet Theater “Guguta”.
