The president of the Action and Solidarity Party (PAS) Maia Sandu said the person with the biggest chances, who is the most persuasive in this struggle and who can contribute to achieving people’s goals should run in this year’s presidential elections. Asked if she will run, she answered she will take a decision when time comes, IPN reports.
“I’m a corruption fighter. I proved this in time, but we discuss things inside the team. It is very important to combine the forces of the people who want the Republic of Moldova to become a country in which one wants to live, in which dubious persons will not rob you from morning till evening,” Maia Sandu stated in a news conference.
According to her, all those who want justice in the country to be made should unite. There is yet time until the presidential elections and it is important how the situation will look like in the country closer to the elections.
Maia Sandu ran on behalf of the PAS in the presidential elections of October 30, 2016. She competed in the runoff against the Party of Socialists’ candidate Igor Dodon. The latter won with 52.11% of the vote.
