A man aged 50 lost his life in a house fire in Camenca village of Glodeni district in the morning of January 3, IPN reports.
According to the General Inspectorate for Emergencies, the call to the 112 service was received at 05:33am. A firefighting team localized the fire at 06:25am. It was preliminarily determined that the chimney in the old house was used incorrectly.
The Inspectorate calls on the population to be prudent when using heating sources. It is recommended checking the heating installations and stoves before using them and avoiding placing combustible materials, furniture and bed linen near heating sources. The rooms heated by stove must be aired often, while the fire in stoves must be fully extinguished before going to sleep.
