Officers of the National Anticorruption Center (NAC) carried out searches at the head office of the Revival Party. A person was arrested. The Center hasn’t revealed the person’s name yet.
Contacted by IPN for details, NAC press officer Ina Voloshchuk said the activities were performed within a case of corruption and money laundering. “A person was arrested. At the current stage, we cannot give details. We will provide more information later,” stated the quoted source.
The press reported that the arrested person is MP Irina Lozovan’s husband who allegedly tried to bribe a mayor representing the Party of Socialists.
Also, Irina Lozovan’s mate Alexandr Nesterovschi, who both defected from the Party of Socialists, said the searches were conducted after representatives of the Revival Party held a news conference in which they called on the people to sign for declaring the Party of Action and Solidarity unconstitutional. He noted that more details will be made known later today.
