Permission given for two international football matches to be played in Chisinau

The National Extraordinary Public Health Commission allowed playing two official international football matches of the qualifying competition of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 in Chisinau, IPN reports.

According to the Government’s press service, the matches are: Moldova – the Faroe Islands set for March 25 and Moldova – Israel scheduled for March 31. Both of the games will take place at the Zimbru Stadium in Chisinau without the presence of spectators, starting at 9:45pm.

The national team of Moldova and of the other countries will be in quarantine since they assemble. All the team members will do by three tests for COVID-19 - 20, seven and two days before the match.

Throughout the assembly, Moldova will be in quarantine at the Technical Center of the Moldovan Football Federation in Vadul lui Vodă. The guest teams will travel by charter flights and will be accommodated at the hotel on stories that will be separated from the rest of the guests.

Also, the persons involved in the organization of matches will be tested for COVID-19 for two times during the week before the match. There will be several anti-COVID-19 protection filters at the entrance to the Zimbru Stadium.

The actions were decided in accordance with the UEFA and FIFA Protocols.
