The period during which the persons took part in the 1992 war for defending the territorial integrity of the Republic of Moldova will be added thrice longer to the contributory period necessary for obtaining a pension, as the Cabinet decided on June 22, IPN reports.
The provision will be applied in the case of the participants in the Nistru war, who will need to present the war veteran permit of new type and a certificate showing the length of the period of participation in the war issued by the Ministry of Defense.
The document is designed to support the Nistru war veterans and the members of their families in connection with the celebration of the 30th anniversary of the fighting that took place between March 2 and August 13, 1992. The costs associated with the implementation of the given decision will be covered with state budget funds.
