The ethno-folk ensemble “Crenguța de Iederă” managed by Maria Iliuț will give a performance of carols and winter songs in the Great National Assembly Square of Chisinau on Christmas eve, January 6, starting at 6pm, IPN reports.
The Chisinau City Hall invites the inhabitants and guests of the capital city to the central square, near the Christmas tree, to enjoy the true spirit of the winter holidays.
Also, on each Friday, Saturday and Sunday, between 4pm and 9pm, the children can receive presents from Santa Claus at his little house near the fir tree.
January 6 is the last day of the Nativity Fast. On January 7, the Orthodox Christians who follow the traditional Julian calendar celebrate Christmas or the Birth of Jesus Christ.
