Only 71.6% of the recipients of cold-month allowances provided by the authorities of Chisinau fully paid the bills for the previous heating season. 26.1% paid only a part of the consumed heat, while 2.2% didn’t pay the bills at all. The debt to the supplier is 1.6 million lei, IPN reports, quoting a communiqué from SA Termocom.
In the period between September 10 and October 10, the company’s employees visited the bad payers in order to convince them to pay the debts. Until now they visited over 44,000 apartments and discussed with over 16,000 bad payers. On September 1, in the municipality of Chisinau there were over 52,000 apartments with debts for heat of over 1,000 lei.
The families on monthly incomes of under 1,450 lei per member, which applied for cold-month allowances, pay only 60% of the consumed heat, while 40% is covered by the municipality by providing allowances.
The bills for heat, including the debts, can be paid at bank branches, through electronic payment terminals and at the commercial center of SA Termocom situated at 6 Tudor Vladimirescu St.
