The people voting on April 5 will have to accept to have their ID cards sealed 'Alegeri 05.04.09'. The ones who will not want to have their passports stamped not be allowed to vote. The decision was made Thursday by Central Election Commission (CEC), Info-Prim Neo reports. According to CEC secretary Iurie Ciocan the measure is intended not to allow multiple voting. CEC president Eugeniu Stirbu says the idea was discussed with the electoral contestants. The authorities enforced the same decision in previous elections but the measure was not popular with the voters. CEC members say they have enough time till the elections to persuade the people this is not a caprice, but a necessity.
