People hurt in Chisinau minibus collision

Two minibuses running on routes No.101 and No. 129 collided on Tudor Vladimirescu St in Chisinau. A number of passengers, including children, were rushed to the hospital by ambulances.

Head of the press service of the Chisinau Police Division Adrian Jovmir has told IPN that the minibuses traveled in the same direction. The police are investigating the scene to establish who us to blame. The drivers weren’t hurt and were ordered to do a blood alcohol test during two hours.

Petru Cravet, who is in charge of relations with the media at the Emergency Medicine Center, said that ten persons of different ages have been transported to the hospital so far. Most of them were diagnosed with brain injury. The victims include two children who were taken to the Children’s Hospital “Valentin Ignatenco” for examinations. Nobody was yet hospitalized.

The driver who caused the accident faces criminal charges.
