Tens of people take water from the spring located on Trandafirilor St in Botanica district of Chisinau that is almost 20 years old. Cold water consumption increases in summer when the temperatures are high. The people daily take over 7.5 tonnes of water form this spring, IPN reports.
SA “Apă-Canal Chișinău” said that 1,123 tonnes of water have been taken from this spring so far this year. In June, the people consumed 225 tonnes of water taken from this spring. The water there is free of charge and is of the highest quality.
The water comes through a centralized network and goes through a salt water filtration system. The filter is changed once in three months, while the disinfecting ultraviolet lamp - once in half a year.
In the parks of Chisinau, there are pumps and fountains that the people can use to drink water and to cool off.
