Pensions set before January 1, 1999 to be reassessed

The pensions set before January 1, 1999 will be reviewed. The law to amend a number of legal acts of July 2018, which provides for the reassessment of old-age pensions of persons who continued to work after retirement, takes effect on January 1, 2019, IPN reports.

According to the National House of Social Insurance, the persons who work or worked after retirement will have their old-age pensions reassessed in stages, depending on the year when the retirement age was reached and the length of the insurance period recorded after retirement.

The persons who retired before January 1, 1999 will and have an insurance period after retirement of 15 years and over will have their old-age pensions recalculated the first, as of January 1, 2019. The pensioners with an insurance period shorter than 15 years will have the pensions reviewed in 2020.

The recipients of pensions set after January 1, 1999 will have their old-age pensions recalculated in stages as of January 1, 2021, in accordance with the law on the insurance period recorded after retirement.
