Pensions below the subsistence minimum will be indexed twice a year: on April 1 and October 1, according to a draft law submitted as a legislative initiative by President Igor Dodon and approved today by the Government, IPN reports.
The indexing coefficient will be the increase in average annual consumer price index for the last 3 years.
According to the National Bureau of Statistics, in 2018 the subsistence minimum for pensioners constituted 1574.2 lei, representing 83.2% of the value for the total population.
