Pensioners to receive heating bill assistance payments no earlier than November

The pensioners will be able to get the 130 lei payments intended to help them with the heating bills no earlier than November, and not in October as it was promised. Contacted by Info-Prim Neo, Social Protection Deputy Minister Vadim Pistrinciuc said the payments for the first heating month will be released from October 1 to 15. The public employees will receive their compensations after 1 January 2011, with the institution of a new calculation mechanism, which will be based on the income of each family member. The Government decided that over this cold season monthly payments for heating bill assistance will be given to some 500,000 pensioners with pensions under 900 lei, to 30,000 vulnerable families and to the public employees with salaries under 700 lei.
