Pedestrian street might appear in central Chisinau

The road section between Cosmonauţtlor and Columna streets could become pedestrian street. The proposal was discussed at a roundtable meeting held at the Chisinau City Hall on Wednesday, Info-Prim Neo reports. Deputy mayor Vlad Cotet said the proposal can be put into practice only if it is approved by the municipal councilors. Alexandru Boldescu, a representative of the Division of Architecture, Urbanism and Land Relations, said it is an unrealistic idea as the reconstruction of that street section implies large investments. The traffic on the section between the streets Cosmonautilor and Columna is limited.
