Pedestrian killed in hit-and-run accident

The police are looking for a driver who fatally struck a pedestrian by his car at the entrance to Congaz village of Comrat district last night. Sources in the Comrat police commissariat have told Info-Prim Neo that the driver and the vehicle have not been yet identified. The victim’s friends who were with him when the accident happened could not describe the car as it was dark and they were in a state of shock. The Comrat police commissariat is investigating the case. The driver faces up to seven years in jail.
