The Communist parliamentarians declined Thursday to consider the initiative of a group of MPs on granting 300,000 million lei more in addition to the money provided for in the budget to subsidize farming works. Withdrawing the bill from the order of the day as the Communists proposed has stirred the revolt of the opposition MPs , who have accused them of discriminatory attitude towards the opposition's initiatives, Info-Prim Neo reports. The draft put up by Moldova Noastra Aliance (AMN) MPs Valeriu Cosarciuc and Alexandru Oleinic suggest to modify the 2008 state budget given the incomes expected from dividends (150 million lei), from selling and privatizing public assets (75 million lei) and fuel excises (75 million lei). The committee dealing with economy did not endorse the draft, finding that the authors suggested exaggerated financial backups. Communist MP Dumitru Todoroglo has said the initiative implies disdain for the state budget and has a populist and politicized character, as everyhting the opposition proposes in the economic area. Valeriu Cosarciuc has accused the Communist majority of lack of respect for the opposition and for farmers. “You mock the peasants, you send them abroad – this is the policy of the Communist rule,” said the AMN MP. His faction has asked for a 15-minute break. Returning on the floor, the AMN MP Veaceslav Untila has asked to urgently convene a sitting of the Steady Bureau of the Parliament so that AMN determines the future behavior related to the “reluctant attitude of the parliamentary majority.” Finally the MPs have decided to discuss the matter together with more corrections to the state budget, recently endorsed by the Cabinet. Similar retorts the Communists got from the controversial deputy Valentina Cusnir, who wants to legalize the peasants selling home made wine. AMN has repeatedlty accused the Communist deputy of discriminating the opposition's initiatives, even blocking the tribune and leaving the session hall. They also vowed to pass to tougher ways of protest.
