Socialist MP Grigore Novac said the pro-Moldova strategy of the Democratic Party banks on the voters of the center and the left and this is a mistake. He developed the issue in the talk show “Key issue” on NTV Moldova channel, IPN reports.

“We daily speak about religiosity and statehood. The Democrats didn’t invent something new. They only reiterate what we have spoken about for a long period of time,” stated the MP.

“We can say that the Democratic Party captured the whole electoral space. It has ruled for a long period of time and solves all the problems with the assistance of the Prosecutor’s Office. I cannot say there is democracy in Moldova. There are districts where everyone converted to the PDM as Jehovah’s Witnesses,” stated the chairman of the Movement “Voievod” Nicolae Pascaru.

Democratic MP Eugen Nichiforciuc said that even if it adopted the pro-Moldova course, the PDM does not intend to abandon the pro-European course. “We consider it is important that the Republic of Moldova keep the pro-European development model, which we consider the best solution for the country,” he stated. “All the projects existing in the country should be implemented first of all for the citizens of the Republic of Moldova and the effects of these policies should be felt by the people.”

On October 21, the Democratic Party announced the fourth country development path, the pro-Moldova one, which is to become a national doctrine and will form the basis of the PDM’s political program for the next few years.
