The activities staged by the Democratic Party (PDM) through its decision makers in the Government and Parliament could not remain ineffective. The PDM went up in polls because it centered on concrete actions during the past year and the answers given by the respondents of the most recent poll were based on concrete things they saw. The issue was developed in the talk show “Fabrika” on Publika TV channel, IPN reports.

“I expected more spectacular results, but they are anyway spectacular as the growth is of four times compared with the situation two years ago,” stated analyst Vlad Darie. According to him, the initiatives and actions of the PDM found a reflection in people’s expectations.

Vlad Darie noted the Party of Socialists (PSRM) walked into a trap as President Igor Dodon, who is associated with this party,  cannot deliver the promises made to the people in the election campaign. This way, the expectations of the voters of the left were very big, while Igor Dodon’s performance is much beyond these expectations. “I expected a mores serous decline of this party in polls. Furthermore, the Socialists do not have powerful, emblematic figures in the secondary ranks, who could become the next driving forces,” he stated, adding the PSRM keeps a solid nucleus in the people’s sympathy, but he does not anticipate a rise in polls for this party.

Journalist Constantin Olteanu said the PDM witnessed this growth because it centered on actions during the past year and those who took part in the most recent poll gave their answers based on concrete things they saw.

According to him, the Party “Action and Solidarity” and the Party “Platform Dignity and Truth” are at the stage when they speak about programs, options, promises, messages and slogans, but these do not bring points. Furthermore, there is a small “undeclared” war between the two parties, which continues. The low popularity of the two parties is probably due to their narrow activities, such as trips abroad and letters to EU institutions to stop financing, which are detrimental to the people, and also flashmob meetings in front of particular institutions. “This is not enough for generating growth,” said Constantin Olteanu.
