The Democratic Party (PDM) recommends the Central Election Commission and the Broadcasting Coordination Council to draft a Code of Conduct for the electoral period, IPN reports.

In a press beefing on December 11, the PDM’s spokesman Vitalie Gamurari said the Party of Socialists, the Party “Action and Solidarity” and the Party “Dignity and Truth Platform” already commit serious violations of the legislation. Actions to start the election campaign are taken and electoral blocs that do not exist officially are presented, while some of the parties, by hidden methods, use foreign funds. “The PDM comes up with this initiative and the political parties should later sign this Code and, what is more important, should respect it,” stated the spokesman.

Vitalie Gamurari also said that some of the parties that witness major declines in voters’ preferences are trying to stop the fall by violating the legislation, which is regrettable.
