The Democratic Party has repeated its invitation to have a dialogue addressed to the parliamentary parties and reaffirmed the decisions taken by the Constitutional Court, according to which the Parliament and the Government of Maia Sandu are illegitimate. Vice president of the PDM Vladimir Cebotari said the answers received to the invitation issued yesterday weren’t very clear, IPN reports.

In a news conference on June 11, Vladimir Cebotari said a compromise should be reached so as to overcome the current crisis. According to the Democratic heavyweight, Andrei Năstase provided a very swift answer, saying they are ready to sit at the negotiating table. At the same time, the representative of the Party of Socialists said he will give an answer after the invitation is examined, but the answers neither turned down, nor accepted the invitation to a dialogue.

“We are confused, but our invitation remains valid,” stated the vice president of the PDM. According to him, the discussions will center on the constitutional and political stalemate. There is no solution to the constitutional impasse and the Constitutional Court’s decisions should be respected.

Asked by the press about the PDM’s solutions to the crisis, Vladimir Cebotari said these will be presented in the discussions.
