Prime Minister Pavel Filip, who runs for MP, said the government raised pensions and provided by 600 lei in support to pensioners with low incomes on Christmas. “If the pensioners and the citizens in general continue to have confidence in the PDM, we will definitely offer support on Easter too,” Pavel Filip stated in a meeting with citizens from Ialoveni district, IPN reports, with reference to a press release of the Democratic Party.
“You know well that three years ago, owing to instability and chaos, there was a risk that the pensions and salaries in Moldova would not be paid. The PDM government managed to bring that difficult period to an end and things now stand differently,” stated Pavel Filip.
The attending businessmen complained about the multitude of reports that they have to compile. Pavel Filip said his colleagues are now working on the reports that should be presented to the statistical offices and will come up with solutions. Those attending also asked about the possibility of opening a free economic zone in Ialoveni. Pavel Filip expressed his confidence that such a zone will be created and investors will come.
The PDM caravan that visited Ialoveni district on February 15 involved suspended ministered of education, culture and research Monica Babuc, who runs in single-member constituency No. 22 that embraces a number of settlements of this district, including Ialoveni town. “Owing to different rises and indexations, especially due to the law on the unified salary system, the education system employees now receive much higher salaries than in the past. For example, an educator now gets a pay of 5,000 lei, as opposed to 3,000 lei several months ago, plus the improvements in the education infrastructure, such as renovated schools, kindergartens and lyceums, better outfitted labs and new teaching aids,” stated Monica Babuc.
