The Democratic Party (PDM) is ready to form a coalition with the political parties that will enter the next Parliament, but these should share the same values as the PDM. At the same time, representatives of the Liberal Democratic Party (PLDM) said they aim to combine forces with other players with real chances of entering the legislature so as to remove the current government. The Euro-Unionist Convention considers the Party of Socialists has real chances of winning more than half of the seats of MP and blames the parties that earlier formed alliances for European integration for this. The issued was developed in the talk show “Emphasis on today” on TVR channel, IPN reports.

Spokesman for the PDM Vitalie Gamurari said the Democratic Party is ready to have a dialogue with any political party that is likely to enter the next Parliament and has the same views on the construction of the country. “I refer to the European development course,” stated Vitalie Gamurari. According to him, the policy of the PAS and PPPDA, which have real chances of entering Parliament, is to criticize the ruling party. “If an alliance to prevent the Party of Socialists from coming to power could be created after the elections, a question appears – what is more important – the personal ego or the national interest of the state. This is the policies – to negotiate and reach a comprise,” stated the spokesman.

PLDM vice president Ion Terguță said their party wants to run in the upcoming parliamentary elections together with the Party “Dignity and Truth Platform”, the Party “Action and Solidarity” and the Liberal Party. “The PLDM is interested in freeing the Republic of Moldova from the current PD government that is very dangerous. Our only goal is to save the country. We will think later about the party,” stated Ion Terguță, adding the PDM caused the situation when Moldova cannot discuss with international institutions and foreign donors and brought the country to a disastrous state.

Valentin Dolganiuc, one of the founders of the Euro-Unionist Convention of Moldova, said the Party of Socialists can win over 50% of the seats of MP in the next legislature. In 2009-2010, when the alliances for European integration were formed and the state institutions were divided politically, conditions were created for the Party of Socialists to grow. The components of the former alliances are to blame for this, including for the anti-constitutional departure, oligarchization of Moldova and theft of the US$ 1 billion.

The parliamentary elections were set for February 24, 2019.
