The Democratic Party (PDM) is launching the “Democratic Party’s Express”, which is a campaign aimed at consulting the voters about the party’s platform and government program with which the party is campaigning before the November 30 legislative elections. The first three teams will go to Briceni, Soldanesti, and Cahul, IPN reports, quoting a communiqué of the party.

The leader of the PDM Marian Lupu explained that the party intends to test its platform by directly consulting the people and finding out their opinions on the taken measures. “We want to know exactly what tasks the people want to entrust to the future government. Based on people’s opinions, we will firm up the electoral platform that will form the basis of the government program,” he stated.

“The PDM is the party that consults the people and we will take their opinions into account when we formulate the policies aimed at solving the main problems they and their families and settlements face,” Head of Parliament Igor Corman said before the departure. He will lead the Democrats’ team that will travel through northern Moldova this week.

The team that will work in the southern districts will be headed by Minister of Labor, Social Protection and Family Valentina Buliga, who is the deputy head of the PDM. “We want to know the opinions of farmers, factory workers, teachers, pensions, mothers, young people, businessmen, the people of culture - all Moldova’s people,” she stated.

Next week, teams of Democrats consisting of experts from different areas, divided by regions, will travel to villages and towns.
