The executive council of the Democratic Party (PDM) has issued one more invitation to a dialogue on the formation of a parliamentary majority to the electoral bloc ACUM and is ready to concede the administration of the future Government, including the post of Prime Minister, IPN reports.

PDM vice president Andrian Candu, in a press briefing on March 14, said the representatives of the bloc ACUM are expected to come to discussions the next few days, until this Sunday. If this invitation is not accepted either, the PDM will convoke again the party’s executive committee to decide the further steps.

Asked if the PDM can form an alliance with the Party of Socialists or the Shor Party, Andrian Candu said that at this stage they are not examining other possibilities than the stated one, which is discussions with the bloc ACUM.

ACUM declined the first invitation to a dialog issued by the Democrats and also the Party of Socialists’ proposal to have discussions. The leaders of the bloc reminded that all the ACUM candidates for MP before the elections signed a public commitment, promising not to form alliances with oligarchic and anti-European parties, and time has come to respect this commitment.

In the February 24 parliamentary elections, the PSRM won 35 seats of MP, the PDM – 30, the electoral  bloc ACUM DA PAS – 26 and the Shor Party – seven. Three independent candidates also entered Parliament.
