The Central Election Commission (CEC) on November 12 didn’t again take a decision about the participation of the Communist Reformist Party (PCR) in the November 30 elections. CEC member Vadim Motsarschi said the electoral authority hasn’t been officially informed about the implementation of the court decision to suspend the registration of the Communist Reformist Party as a political party, but, according to unofficial reports, the Ministry of Justice challenged the decision of the Appeals Court.

On November 4, the Chisinau Appeals Court ordered suspending the Ministry of Justice’s decision to register the Communist Reformist Party until a final decision is taken on this case, at the request of the Communist Party, which argued that the Communist Reformist Party uses a symbol that is similar to its symbol.

November 12 is the deadline by which the empowered judge must check how the Ministry of Justice implemented the Appeals Court’s decision to suspend the registration of the PCR.
