On the Independence Day celebrated on August 27, the Central Committee of the Party of Communists of the Republic of Moldova (PCRM) will meet to decide whether the party will take part in the October 30 presidential elections of this autumn or not, IPN reports.
A decision to this effect was published on the party’s website. This says that the session will involve MPs and other members of the PCRM. The party’s chairman Vladimir Voronin will present a report.
Earlier, the PCRM pleaded against the Constitutional Court’s decision to restore the people’s right to choose the Head of State themselves.
