If parliamentary elections were held next Sunday, the Communist Party (PCRM) would gain the largest number of votes - 34.2% of the poll. The Liberal Democratic Party (PLDM) would poll 15.2% of the vote, the Liberal Party (PL) – 10.3%, while the Democratic Party – 7.5%, shows a poll conducted by the Public Opinion Fund, quoted by IPN.

7.1% of the respondents said they will not take part in the elections, while 13.4% said they don’t know what party they will vote for. 48% of those polled have a positive attitude to the PCRM, 32% to the PLDM, while 28% to the PL.

Asked whom of the political personalities they trust the most, 26.2% of those questioned answered they have confidence in the Communist leader Vladimir Voronin, 8.8% in Prime Minister Iurie Leanca, while 8.3% in the leader of the PLDM Vlad Filat. President Nicolae Timofti is trusted by 2% of the respondents. 18.5% of those surveyed said they trust no Moldovan political figure.

If a referendum on the country’s external course was held, 57% of the respondents would vote for joining the Eurasian Customs Union.

The poll was carried out between March 1 and 30 and covered a sample of 4,555 adult people from 286 settlements, except the Transnistrian region. The margin of sampling error is 1.5%.
