The Opposition party, the PCRM, does not consider it necessary to adopt a new Constitution of Moldova. “The political crisis must be solved in a different way, at the negotiation table, but no compromise can be reached as the ambitions of some of the politicians are above everything,” the jurist of the Communists Party Sergiu Sarbu said during a news conference on Wednesday, Info-Prim Neo reports. The Communist MPs criticize not only the initiative to adopt a new Constitution, but also a number of steps taken by the present administration. The steps considered by the PCRM as violations were enumerated in a report on the post-electoral situation. The report was presented at the same new conference. “The slogans concerning the change, democratization and transformation have turned into pseudo-values of the present pseudo-administration. Moldova sees more and more actions that undermine the democratic norms,” said Ion Ciobanu, the head of the foreign relations department of the PCRM. Among the most serious violations, the Communist representatives mentioned the election of Mihai Ghimpu as Head of Parliament, the dismissal of the deputy ministers according to political criteria, the simultaneous holding of the posts of MP and minister. Ion Ciobanu and Sergiu Sarbu also spoke about the intimidation of the Opposition MPs and press. Sergiu Sarbu said the PCRM will prepare such reports every month. “Even if the head of state is elected, or not, we are sure that more such violations will be committed,” he said.
