The Communist parliamentary group, in a letter to the Standing Bureau, requested that the sittings of the Parliament’s autumn-winter session should start on September 12. They demanded including the organization of parliamentary hearings on the reduction in the state-owned shareholding in SA Banca de Economii and the concession of the Chisinau International Airport in the agenda of the first sitting, IPN reports.

The Communists said the parliamentary hearings should be open and among those questioned should be Prime Minister Iurie Leanca, National Bank of Moldova governor Dorin Dragutanu, chairman of the Administration Board of the National Financial Market Commission Artur Gherman, Minister of Economy Valeriu Lazar, Minister of Finance Anatol Arapu, Deputy Minister of Finance Victor Barbaneagra, and Prosecutor General Corneliu Gurin.

The state-owned holding in Banca de Economii fell from 56.13% to 33.38% after the last additional share issue, while the Chisinau International Airport was leased out to a Russian company.
