The Prosecutor’s Office for Organized Crime and Special Cases (PCCOCS) completed the investigation and sent to court the case started against two men from Comrat district over a series of burglaries committed in 2018, with damage totaling almost 800,000 lei. The two are aged 26 and 32. One of them was earlier tried for similar offenses and served time in jail in Russia, IPN reports.
The men form part of a group whose another two members are to be put on the wanted list. The two committed the offense in Comrat, Cahul and the municipality of Chisinau (including Durlești), primarily at night, at shopping centers, currency exchange facilities, a commercial bank and at a university in Chisinau, whose first floor houses payment terminals, ATMs and shops. In the last case, they immobilized the female guard by tying her to a radiator.
The men were arrested last November.
