Owing to the economic growth and improvement of the business climate, the authorities could make social investments. During a year, there were built thousands of kilometers of roads, renovated hundreds of kindergartens and over 1,000 young families bought the first home through the First House program, stated Prime Minister Pavel Filip, who took part in the third Entrepreneurship Gala alongside more than 1,000 national entrepreneurs, IPN reports, quoting the Government’s press service.

The Premier said  the organizer of the event, the Moldova Business People Association, supports the Government in the dialogue with representatives of the business sector. Owing to the economic growth and improvement of the business climate, in three years the pensions rose by 47%, while the average salary by 50%. The pensioners with incomes lower than 2,000 lei and other categories of citizens received by 600 lei in assistance on the occasion of the winter public holidays.

Pavel Filip called on the businessmen to continue to actively interact with the authorities, voicing hope that the new year will bring new results to entrepreneurs, the national economy and each citizen apart.

Moldova Business People Association president Vlad Plahotniuc said the current government is the only one that managed to deliver the promises made to the businesspeople and 2018 was the best one during the past ten years in the economic sector. “We want your businesses to prosper in 2019, in 2020 and many years on as better for the business sector means better for the country. Better for the country means better for the people and this is the goal that units us. If turnover and profits grow, the amounts collected into the budget will grow, the salaries will also grow, as will the number of jobs,” stated Vlad Plahotniuc.

For their part, the entrepreneurs said that owing to the reforms done by the Government, bureaucracy decreased and is it now much easier for them to do business. In the event, ten young entrepreneurs received grants from the Moldova Business People Association. These said they will use the money to develop businesses at home.
