“Regrettably, some of my colleagues long for the former PDM and today they decided to join those who defected. It is one more confirmation of the fact that the money is the most valued thing in our country,” said the leader of the Democratic Party Pavel Filip, referring to the recent decision of four MPs to leave the party, IPN reports.
The politician said the PDM is undergoing a transformation process. “The party’s administration, together with the local leaders and territorial organizations, undertook to turn the PDM into an authentic political organization where the financial interests and corruption do not have a place,” he posted on Facebook.
He noted that the PDM remains firmly committed to building a healthy party with honest people.
The four MPs who defected from the Democratic Party and its parliamentary group are Violeta Ivanov, Vladimir Vitiuc, Elena Bacalu and Oleg Sîrbu. The first three announced their intention to join the parliamentary group “Pro Moldova”.
MPs Andrian Candu, Sergiu Sîrbu, Vladimir Cebotari, Eleonora Graur, Corneliu Padnevici, Grigore Repeshchuk, Gheorghe Brashovschi and Ruxanda Glavan left the PDM earlier.
