The president of the Democratic Party (PDM) Pavel Filip said that he filed a denouncement concerning the leaving of MPs from the Democratic group and a criminal case was started based on this. He is waiting for the results of the investigation opened by prosecutors. Judging by the latest actions taken in politics, including the corrupting of MPs, the goal is to cause a political crisis.

Pavel Filip considers the 16 Democratic MPs who left the party defected not because of ideological divergences. Influence is exerted on the MPs in a very “intelligent” way, through relatives and very close friends, and he knows this from those who didn’t accept the offers they received – current members of the parliamentary group.

“They were invited to meetings and the discussion started with “you are pro-Romania, pro-West, but stay in a coalition with the Socialists” and ended with the writing of the offer of US$ 1 million. This is what Mister Cebotari did in the case of a mate of ours. She was offered this sum for joining Pro Moldova,” the leader of the PDM explained in the talk show “Black Box” on TV8 channel, being quoted by IPN.

In another development, Pavel Filip said the PDM will have its own candidate in the presidential elections, but a final decision about this is to be taken at the party’s statutory meetings.

He also said that he spoke with Vlad Filat over the phone and admitted that he has known the ex-Premier before he entered politics. He noted that he didn’t communicate with Vlad Filat while this was in jail.
